I did it! I changed my Life.

I did it! It's been awhile since you all have heard from me, yes?  I'll get into the reasons why on that in a minute, but first I want you to celebrate with me. I DID IT!!!!! I changed my life. Last year was full of changes for me and that's a BIG part of why you haven't heard from me.  I took a new position at the old 9-to-5 J-O-B and it left me very little time and energy to put to my business.  It was different hours and more responsibility. It was closer to home, which I loved, but it was robbing me of the juice I needed to devote to this project. It was a 'Wheel of Fortune' year for me (according to the Tarot Growth Cycle).  In a Wheel of Fortune year there can be many changes.  So, that happened.  I changed jobs and location...and I thought that was the change of the year...BUT NO! There was more change to come. I realized a few months after the job change that I had set myself on a path to do that work forever. WAIT! WHAAAT????  Oh no, no.  That's not my dream.  That's not the plan. Since starting this business of spiritual coaching and healing I have always talked about "Doing Your BIG Work" "Following Your Inner Drop" and "Doing the BIG Scary Thing." Well, it is time for me to put my money where my mouth is, right? So- it got me to thinking...'Di, what is THE plan then?  How are we going to get to the dream, the passion, the life you desire????'   When these questions came up it made me realize how stuck I was. How I let my life slide into the normal day-to-day, the busy-ness of modern life...I had let go [...]

Solstice energy –how to harness it

Solstice is almost here -the mid-point of the year- How are you doing on the goals, plans & dreams you made at the start of 2015? Not only is this an awesome time to celebrate the Sun and the Earth and YOU- but it is a great time to inject all your dreams with NEW vitality and energy to fuel your dreams through the remainder of the year. It is a powerful way to use all the natural energy of the Earth (which is super duper high right now) to reinvigorate, renew and refocus all of your plans, intentions, goals and dreams. I suggest that over the next few days you reflect on all the things you are wanting to bring into your life. Consider all areas.  Use my Free Workbook to go over what you want to toss and what you want to tend.  What you want to grow and what needs be composted.  Possibly you did some of this at the start of the year. Possibly things have changed in your life. Maybe you have bigger dreams than you did at the start of the year, maybe you have gotten off track and need to jump back on. Read through what you wrote, add things, check off things that are accomplished, put checks by items that are in progress, and see and feel how you can invigorate the things that are not yet here. Reflect (#1 way to see where you are) Use the workbook. Take a look at what is going on this year for you--it may have took a turn that you didn't expect. How does that effect the plans you had? Read through the workbook. See if the goals you had then line up with the ones you have now. Just reflect for now. You [...]

It all happened in one day. It took a tiny drop every day to make it ripple.

I love those days. Have you ever had a day where you did so many things that are at the top of your fave list that you kinda feel a bit surreal--- like floating on a fluffy cloud where tiny little snacks and tasty beverages were served? Well, I wasn't on that cloud, but if that had happened it wouldn't have surprised me in the least. I recently had a day like that. A day filled with all the new things that I dream of having more of in my life.  A day that soon I hope will be just another normal ol' day for me.  A day that I am starting to create one drop at a time. This is one thing I am realizing (before I get to my frickin' awesome day) that IT (whatever your or my 'IT' might be) doesn't happen over night or even next week most of the time.  It takes time and consistent effort every little day...to get that BIG day or that shift to happen. That is why I am always saying one drop at a time. If every day I am putting some effort in action or thought towards what I want in my life it makes a drop. Sometimes a tiny drop. Sometimes a bigger drop.  BUT a drop. And drops start little ripples that spread out and initiate other things, other drops and other ripples.  They grow and grow and pretty soon you have little waves of change and growth. So my awesome day didn't just happen.  I made it happen.  Some of it took years of study and work. Some of it was able to happen through people, connections and community. Some of it happened because I said, "YES." (actually all of it) Interesting how not saying this [...]

I have a case of the ‘Yeah, buts…’

I used to have this teacher and whenever a student replied to her suggestion with a, "Yeah, but..." she would quickly interject (every single dang time)--"yeah-buts live in yungles."  Yes, yungles, not jungles.   I still remember this and I think this was my second or third grade teacher.  She also had a love of providing ample food during class in the form of peanut butter on bread.  Maybe that is why I remember her. But let's get on with my yeah, buts... I found myself thinking about my writing.  I was reflecting on all the ways it could be better.  I was thinking about all the mistakes in past notes and posts and well, everywhere...and on and on this crazy tape in my head wanted to go.  It even went to comparing my stuff to other bloggers, famous authors and the lyrics of Boy George. Humpf! I love the way some writers can make their words roll together in such a way that liquid magic drips right off the page. But I wasn't thinking mine could and was telling myself every which way they weren't. That judging and comparing was rolling right along. It lead into other ideas and thoughts and then I started the 'Yeah, buts...' BUT this time...and this is HUGE, guys...I stopped them.  I realized I was shutting down possibility, momentum, growth and everything before it even had a chance.   I stopped them.  And a tarot card popped into head.  The seven of swords, called 'futility.' Futility is what stops you before you start.  Of your own creation. Sabotaging yourself. Take a look at the card.  See the central sword and around it are all these other swords taking a chink out of it, making cracks, making it weak.  That central sword is your idea, your plan or [...]
